Jane logo design - hand drawn

JANE

I worked to reinvents the iconic 90s mass market brand instilling the mission to empower women to be confident, courageous and socially conscious – to allow their inner beauty to shine.

I was the lead designer on the complete brand overhaul for Jane Cosmetics. From the logo, brand voice, website, digital strategy and photography, I was able to have a hand in every aspect. Not only did I art direct the photos, in many cases I also shot and retouched them such as the Holiday 2015 campaign and the product beauty images.

Jane relaunched in Rite-Aid and on target.com in 2017.

PACKAGING

Fresh, simple and modern were our driving words for the Jane repackaging. Below is the final design that I worked with the Creative Director to make as well as some of my earlier concepts pieces that feature my hand drawn illustrations. In addition I designed "look in a box sets" for direct to consumer mailers. 


WEBSITE REDESIGN

I oversaw the complete redesign of the website. Under my direction we transferred platforms, updated visual imagery to match the new product design and coordinate the digital assets with the social and email strategies for a complete 360 degree unity. I directed and shot all of the beauty imagery.

WEBSITE HOMEPAGE TILES

I art directed and photographed beauty shots for our campaign featuring our new white floral packaging. I also directed and shot the holiday model campaign "Twinkle through the Night". Below are examples of how they were incorporated as the hero tiles on the homepage. 


EMAIL DESIGN

I developed the email strategy creating the calendar and writing copy as well defining the look of the Jane emails. Not only did I design the emails, but I photographed the product beauty and social images. 


JANE BRAND MAGAZINE

I designed a brand magazine that was used at buyer meetings to showcase the brand essence - featuring the playful photoshoots that I directed, product repackaging and charitable events.  


MERCHANDISING

To complete our 360 overhaul of Jane, we designed a new gondola for Rite Aid. I helped to develop the merchandising strategy and design.
